Professional Development Units

PMP's - Earn Professional Development Units (PDU's) towards re-certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP®)

Griffin Tate and PDU's

Each Project Management Professional must satisfy the PMP® Continuing Certification requirements in order to maintain PMP® Certification. Griffin Tate's Public Workshops are consistent with the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK™) as defined by PMI. PMP's who complete a Griffin Tate course, workshop, or training session earn PDU's (Professional Development Units) which are required for PMP® re-certification. PMP's are required to obtain 60 PDU's during each Continuing Certification cycle to maintain their PMP certification. A PMP's Continuing Certification cycle can be identified by the dates on his/her PMP certificate. One PDU is given for each hour of structured learning under Category 3, PMI Registered Education Providers. Griffin Tate is a Charter Global Education Provider.

PDU's and CEU's-A Comparison

The Professional Development Unit (PDU) was established by PMI as the educational metric for project management educational activities. One PDU is earned for each contact hour spent in structured learning, which is relevant to project management. The Continuing Education Unit (CEU) falls under the cognizance of the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET). Those organizations authorized to award CEU's for their courses must meet the criteria and quality assurance guidelines established by IACET. For conversion purposes, one (1) Continuing Education Unit (CEU) equates to 10 PDUs.

You can also earn PDU's and Contact Hours under Category 2: Self-Directed Learning and Professional Activities, by taking the CBT version of the Essential Skills course.
