Fifteen year anniversary

CINCINNATI, October 15, 2009 – Expanding the practice of high-impact project management, The Griffin Tate Group, Inc. (www.griffintate.com) today announced its 15-year anniversary. Since 1994, the company has provided training in all key areas of project management to practitioners around the world.

In conjunction with its anniversary, The Griffin Tate Group is launching a series of promotions for on-site project management training for the first time ever. The company's initial offering is extended through its course "Project Leadership: A Practical Guide to Communication, Influence and Collaboration." Companies registering 15 or more participants for a session receive a complimentary three-hour workshop on Emotional Intelligence – reinforcing the initial coursework with focused instruction on understanding behavioral dynamics for increased productivity, effective communications and improved performance.

"This is an exciting time for project managers," said Karen Tate, MBA, PMP, president, The Griffin Tate Group, Inc. "Companies are no longer discounting the importance of having skilled project professionals and effective project leaders. New pathways continue to open up - through PMOs, commitments to stronger governance and the ever-growing need to adopt standard methodologies. Organizations are prioritizing programs that enable them to maximize their resources. Committed project management professionals are discovering there's definitely room for advancement."

Founded by Karen Tate, The Griffin Tate Group's longevity stems from extending the ways businesses can help project professionals succeed. Since inception, the company has introduced innovative courses and expanded its base of international instructors – seeking experts who are adept practitioners as well as educators.
Delivered through on-site sessions, public workshops or in its virtual classroom, The Griffin Tate Group's practical approach to training creates pathways for improved project management at all levels within a company for:

  • Greater efficiency, cost-savings and project success rates - through a standard methodology, tools and techniques to improve project performance and outcomes over time.
  • Increased motivation and productivity - building project leadership capabilities removes roadblocks that arise from poor team dynamics.
  • Effective communications - to increase company-wide "buy-in" for projects, while minimizing delays, oversights and quality issues.
  • Continuous improvements - through advanced capabilities in the areas like change management, risk management, negotiation, and cross-cultural communications.

Increasing the reach of project management best practices, Tate has co-authored numerous books on the discipline over the past 15 years, including the Project Management Memory Jogger™ and The Advanced Project Management Memory Jogger™, The McGraw-Hill 36-Hour Project Management Course, Getting Started in Project Management, A Step by Step Approach to Risk Assessment, and Triz: An Approach to Systematic Innovation.

The Griffin Tate Group is certified by the Project Management Institute (PMI®) as a Charter Global Registered Education Provider.
