About the Workshop:


Becoming certified by the Project Management Institute (PMI®) as a Project Management Professional (PMP®), or Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM®), is an important stop on the career path of any project professional. It increases earning power, demonstrates commitment to the discipline, and now more than ever, it is a requirement among companies, government entities and recruiters. PMI® certification signifies expertise utilizing a body of knowledge that is recognized throughout the world as an exceptionally effective standard.

®’s resource A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK ® Guide), now in its fourth edition, is the basis for all certification exams to become a PMP® or CAPM®. Eligibility requirements are as follows:

  • CAPM®  

Professionals with a high school diploma (or global equivalent) and 1,500 hours experience OR 23 hours of project management education are eligible to take the CAPM® exam.

    • PMP®

    Professionals with a Bachelor’s degree (or global equivalent), at least three (3) years of full time project management experience and 35 hours of project management education are eligible to take the PMP® exam.

    Professionals with a high school diploma (or global equivalent), at least five (5) years of full time project management experience and 35 hours of project management education are eligible to take the PMP® exam.
